About Milburn

Formation

The formation of Milburn came after years of friendship through playing football together. Milburn started with playing gigs in front of their friends and practised at Joe Green's grandma house. Their first demo called ”Steel Town” was released in 2001. The demo was offered at a gig to anyone who would care for listening. There was just a name of the band in front of white and blue colours, which represented their love for a local football team. The demo contained three tracks, “Tommy”, “High & Dry” and "Steel Town”. They have released two limited singles: “Showroom” and "Lipstick Lickin", they switched from their own label Free Construction to Mercury Records in 2006. The band's first single with the new label was "Send In the Boys", that made it to the number 22 in the official UK Singles Chart. Together they also released their first album, “Well Well Well”, in October 2006 which also made it to number 32 in the official UK Album Chart. Milburn’s second album “These Are The Facts” was released in September 2007. The band promoted it with initial UK tour in September 2007 then another tour in November.

Break-up

In March 2008 Milburn announced that the band have decided that it was time to call it a day. They claimed that there was no falling out in the group, and they still stayed friends and supported each other as they move on to exploring new musical horizons.
