Marco Antonio Muñiz was born in the United States in New York on 16 September 1968. The first steps in his career of the musician were associated with rap direction. Mark composed music and worked as a backing singer with Menudo and the group “The Latin Raskals”. In order to avoid confusion with his namesake, Mark decided to change his name and became Marc Anthony. In 1988, Anthony released his first album in the rap style “Rebel”. In the same year, Mark became the producer and the author of the disc “Boy I`ve Been Told”.

Collaboration
The album is made in a rap style for his friend Sa-Fire. In 1989, Mark again acts as a backing vocalist, this time collaborating with Ann-Marie. They record a club hit “With or Without You”. In 1990, a rap song “You Should Know by Now” was recorded by a duo of Mark and Chrissy I-eece. A year later, Mark worked with the singer Edmond, singing backing vocals in the composition “Come Back to Me”.
Debut Album
In 1992, Marc Anthony released a CD “When the Night Is Over” – the singer's debut album. The composition “Ride on the Rhythm” became a hit immediately and took the lead first place in dance Billboard chart. In November 1992, Tito Puente turned to Mark with a proposal to “warm up” the audience before the performance of his group.
Creativity
In 1995, the singer recorded the disc “Todo a su tiempo”, it includes the composition “Llegaste A Mí”, “Te Conozco Bien”, “Te Amaré”, “Hasta Ayer”, “Se Me Sigue Olvidando”. The musician receives a deserved Grammy nomination for this work. The singer's next album “Contra La Corriente” (1997) was awarded the Grammy Award in the category “Best Latin Performer”.
In 1999, Anthony writes his first disc in English – “Marc Anthony”. It included “My Baby You”, “When I Dream at Night” and “You Sang to Me”. The album was twice platinum.
Marc Anthony's tracks are heard in many films, e.g. "Carlito's Way", "The Mask of Zorro", "Runaway Bride" and others.
The new disk in Spanish “Iconos” (2010) was dedicated to the most famous and respected Latin American composers, his father, wife and children. The musician calls this album “The product of love.”
