Europe is a Swedish rock band who formed in 1979 in Upplands Vasby, Stockholm (originally under the name Force). Their real, major claim to fame was in 1986 with the release of their third album, The Final Countdown, which sold over three million copies in the United States alone. The band also has two top singles on the Billboard Hot 100, which were "Carrie" and "The Final Countdown”. The current members of the band are Joey Tempest, John Norum, John Leven, Mic Michaeli, and Ian Haugland. Read more
