Maddie & Tae is a US country music duo that debuted quite recently. It features two girls, whose names actually gave the name to the project. The girls met in 2010 in Dallas. They soon decided to build a musical band and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Despite the fact that the duo has only started their career, many critics are already predicting a bright future for them in the world of country music. Now, Maddie & Tae are busy working on their new material and touring as headliners for the first time.

Madison Kay Marlow, the band leader, was born on July 7, 1995, in Sugar Land, Texas. Maddie is a leading vocalist and guitarist. She also plays the mandolin. Taylor Elizabeth Dye (backing vocals and guitar) was born on September 18, 1995, in Ada, Oklahoma. Both girls are strongly influenced by Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack and Shania Twain.How They Started
Maddie & Tae’s career started in 2014 when they signed the contract with Dot Records. When that happened, the girls stated that they were delighted with the opportunity to work with the legendary label and that their wildest dreams had become reality. In November 2014, they released their debut EP, called Maddie & Tae, and full-length studio album Start Here, only a year later.Singles
The debut single of the duo Girl in a Country Song hit #3 on the US Country Chart and #1 on the US Country Airplay. Soon, Maddie & Tae released Girl In A Country Song video that proves that glamour is appropriate in any situation. The main song from the second single Fly was premiered on the enormously popular Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which is a great success already. Brian Lazzaro directed the video for the song. Both the video and song are dedicated to children, their development and care.
