Lucy Spraggan, born in 1991, is an English musician whose music can be described as a mixture of hip-hop, acoustic and folk. Currently, she is signed to CTRL Records. Her story begins in 2011, when she was announced as a runner-up of the Pop and Acoustic, Urban category of Live and Unsigned. The next year she performed with Razorlight at Osfest at the Oswestry Showground and independently released her first album.

In 2012 Lucy auditioned for the X Factor. She performed her own composition called “Last Night”. However, some time later it was announced that she would be quitting her competition on the show due to the illness. Because of it, she ended on ninth place, second in her category.In fact, Lucy is the first contestant in the history of the show who scored a Top 40 single and self-released an album even before the ending of the show.

This is the name of the debut self-released album of Lucy Spraggan. The album came out in November 2011 alongside with a music video, released on YouTube. According to Spraggan, the majority of the lyrics from this album was inspired by a short romance with an older woman which took place when Spraggan visited States at the age of 18.
Join The Club
Lucy’s debut major label album was released in 2013 and had great success. “Join The Club” reached number 7 in the United Kingdom charts. The following album “We Are” was released two years later, in spring 2015. You may recognise the name of the lead single - “Unsinkable”. In addition to this well-known name, you also could have heard other Lucy’s famous songs, such as “Tea and Toast”, “Lighthouse”, “Last Night (Beer Fear)” and “Dear You”. In February 2016, Lucy Spraggan announced on her social media, that the new EP will be called “Home” and will be released in just a few days. It contains three new songs called “Skylights”, “This One’s For You” and “Home”. It also included an updated version of “Tea and Toast”, which was explaining the story behind the song.
