Jason Joel Desrouleaux was born in 1989 in Miami, the State of Florida. His parents are natives Haiti, and the very difficult surname – Desrouleaux – Jason changed to a scenic pseudonym – Derulo. The first song “Crush on You” he wrote at the age of 8. In childhood, he was engaged in acting, opera and ballet, and basketball playing. He studied in the Dillard center of Arts and finished the American musical and drama academy in New York. Read more
