Magnum in Liverpool Interesting facts
The first part of the group formed in 1972, included Les Kitcheridge (guitar, vocals), Bob Catly (vocals), Dave Morgan (bass, vocals,) and Kex Gorin (drums). The team performed in the small clubs and pubs, playing a variety of covers. The guys decided to take the name “Magnum”. Les did not stay in the group for long and soon was replaced by Tony Clarkin. Tony became the head of the team pretty quickly and the main author of compositions. The first single of “Magnum”, “Sweets for my Sweet” was issued on the CBS records.
