Career

During the period from 1993 to 1994, Urban goes on a tour with Slim Dusty. In 1995, Slim and Keith recorded the composition “Lights on the Hill”, performed as a duet. In 1992, Keith replaced the residence for Nashville (Tennessee).

Guitarist

In 1999, Keith recorded the disk with the same name. Five compositions became hits and brought the musician Academy of Country Music award as “The Best Young Country Performer” and Country Music Association's Horizon award in 2001. Keith Urban is known as a masterly guitarist, he performed as the sessional musician during creation of the albums of Garth Brooks “Double Live”, Paul Brandt’s “This Time Around”, “Dixie Chicks group’s “Fly”.

European Public

In 2005, Keith appears before the European public for the first time. Well-known Bryan Adams supports him with the Great Britain tour. Only in this country the disk “Days Go By” with the compositions from two albums “Golden Road” and “Be Here” was let out.

Awards Ceremonies

Keith Urban's compositions “Better Life” and “You’ll Think of Me” received awards of SMA and American Music Awards. Keith Urban performed at the Grammy awards ceremony with Faith Hill the compositions “The Lucky One” and “You’ll Think of Me”. In 2006, Keith performed the composition “Tonight I Wanna Cry” and played the guitar “Believe” of “Brooks & Dunn” group at ACM Awards ceremony. The single of the fifth studio album “Defying Gravity” is called “Sweet Thing”. This composition is written together with Monty Powell. The album was issued in 2009 with the assistance of Capitol Records. The single “Kiss a Girl” appeared in spring of 2009. And the third track “Only You Can Love Me This Way” was created in collaboration with Steve McEwan and John Reid. The album “Defying Gravity” became very successful and occupied the first position in Billboard 200.
