Katherine Maria Jenkins was born on June 29, 1980 in Neath, UK. At 4, little Catherine knew she wanted to become a singer. At 7, she first joined the chorus “St.David's”, where she had a lot of standard and hard work. At 10, Katherine won the contest of young singers in the nomination “Choir Girl Of The Year”. This opened new horizons for her. At 17, she already had a few wins in prestigious junior competitions and diploma of the London Royal Academy of Music. After graduation, she was determined to make some money and continue education. She continued to take singing lessons from her teacher – Beatrice Unsvort.

Contract with Universal
A few months later, after the young singer began to teach singing, she got a call from the company Universal. They liked her “Flower Duet”, made a little earlier as a demo track in the dance style and offered an appointment. Its result was a contract with a giant label to release six albums, and Katherine was named one of the most prominent and respected opera singers, who can be put on a par with Maria Callas.
Successful Releases
The debut album “Premiere” was sold a total circulation of 100,000 copies. In addition to that, it climbed all the classical charts in the first lines. Continuation – the second album “Second Nature”, inspired by her fans, reached 350,000 copies, and she received Classical Brit Award. Exactly the same position was awarded the third album of the singer – “Living A Dream”.
She stunned millions of people with her incomparable version of the hit “Amazing Grace”, which Katherine performed at the opening of the concert in Cardiff in memory of victims of the tsunami, and the singer performed at “Live 8” in Berlin and London. In 2006, her new album “Serenade” went out.
Her fifth album “From the Heart” entered the pop charts at No.3, ahead of “Spice Girls” and Celine Dion.
Her latest album, Jenkins released in 2014 and called it “Home Sweet Home”.
