Career Aimed

In 2004, Hugo Boss asked Kano to be their model in a new collection. The young British with the Jamaican origin refused and began to work on a debut album. In several months, Kano became an underground star thanks to the “P's & Q's” track.

First Appearance

For the first time Kano appeared on a scene of Great Britain as a part of “N.A.S.T.Y Crew” group, which made an enormous success at a radio station. In 2005, Kano issued the solo debut album “Home Sweet Home”, which received the gold status in Great Britain and good responses of the British journalists. In general, the first album received magnificent comments both from the press, and from the British and American rap stars (Busta Rhymes, Nas, RZA, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Chuck D, …). The same year Kano was nominated for MOBO Awards (Music of a black origin), having got an award for the best debut. The mayor of London declared him one of the heroes of London of 2005.

Second and Third Albums

In 2007, the second album “London Town”, which became quite ambiguous, because the grimer suddenly decided to become an R&B star, was issued. This time the public was much more exacting, and Kano was dumped from heaven on the earth. After the release of the second studio album, Kano went on a tour across Great Britain. In the 3rd album “Grime Street” (2008) the singer has connected grime style to hip hop, but the songs have still been well accepted by admirers. In 2008, there was the third album “140 Grime Street” in which Kano explains the reasons of the style change in a couple of autobiographical tracks, and generally, carries on to the traditions of the first album, which many consider as the best one of this genre. In 2010, the fans received a new album “Method to the Maadness”, which they were infinitely glad to see.
