Johnny Logan, the real name of whom is Seán Patrick Michael Sherrard O'Hagan, was born on 13 May 1954 in Frankston, Australia. He is the Irish singer and composer. He is mostly known as the only two-time winner of Eurovision contest (as a singer). His father was the Irish tenor Patrick O'Hegan, who was even known in the White House as he performed to three US presidents. At 3, he moved to Ireland with his parents. In 1977, he appeared in the musical “Adam and Eve”.

Best Singer of the Country
Taking the scene name Johnny Logan in 1978, he issued his first recording. In 1979, he became the victor of the National Song Contest and was recognized by readers of the newspaper Connaught Telegraph as the country’s best singer.
Eurovision winner
He won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1980 thanks to the track “What’s another year” that occupied the 1st place in the British charts. In the Eurovision Song Contest in 1987 with the track “Hold me now”, he gained his second victory.
In 1992, a track written by Logan “Why me?” for Linda Martin obtained the first place at Eurovision. The consequence of these successes brought Logan a nickname “Mister Eurovision”.
He was given the 3rd place in the ranking of the best participants of the Eurovision for 50 years with the track “Hold me now”.
In 2002, he participated in the UK television show ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’, being a team panelist in a Eurovision-special.
Achievements
Throughout his career, he has released more than 30 singles and 15 albums. He also conducted his own TV show on the BBC called ‘Johnny Logan and Friends’.
Johnny continues his creative activities. His most popular songs are “Hold me now” and “What's another year.”
