Jake Edwin Charles Kennedy or Jake Bugg is the British performer. His debut album left in 2012, having occupied top of charts of Great Britain. Bugg has been nominated for the New Musical Express and BRIT Awards magazine. Jake was born on 28th of February 1994 and grew up in Nottingham. At 12, he showed interest in music, having heard the song “Vincent” performed by Don McLean from a cartoon serial of “The Simpsons” and began to master an acoustic guitar, which was presented to him by the uncle; later he played a bass guitar in the group of the cousin.

Career Start
Having found the songbook of “The Beatles” in a library and having decided that learning their compositions will bring him more benefit than attending the lectures, he left a local college where he studied musical technologies, and began to look for the place for his performances. He has taken the name of the father as the second part of his scenic name. Jake Bugg has gained fame in the hometown, and in 2010, he sent several songs to the BBC, thanks to which next year he participated in the Glastonbury festival and soon signed the contract with Mercury Records label.

By May 2012, when Jake Bugg became the guest of an evening TV show of Jools Holland, he already opened Lana Del Ray's concerts, “Example”, and Michael Kivanuki, and in the summer, his single “Lightning Bolt” was taken by the sports program as music for the video with Usain Bolt's victory at the Olympic Games in London. Soon the musician was invited to a warming up of Noel Gallagher and “The Stone Roses” group.

The debut album was issued in October 2012, and it has received positive reviews of critics and headed the British chart. The primary subject of an album was “boredom and horrors of provincial life”. The part of songs was written in a co-authorship with Ian Archer. In 2013, Jake Bugg received the nomination at the BRIT Awards in the category “British Break”, but yielded a victory to Ben Howard, and he was also nominated for NME Awards in two categories. His most popular songs are “Broken”, “Slide”, and “Taste It”.
