Jack Garrett is a promising performer multi-instrumentalist and the producer from London. Though Jack has issued only one album “Phase” (2016) and only several singles and mini-albums, it doesn't prevent him to perform on the open areas, attracting crowds of people. Fascinating live shows of the musician became his business card, not everyone will be able to use several musical instruments at the same time, creating thereby rather unique and fresh sounding.

About Jack Garratt

Biography

Jack Garratt was born on 11 October 1991 in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. He was raised in the village of Little Chalfont. When he was 12, he composed his first song and started learning to play such musical instrument as piano, guitar, drums, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and trombone. The years of education he spent at St Clement Danes school in Chorleywood and the University of Roehampton in London.

Professional Route

In 2005, Jack took part in a national selection for “The Children's Eurovision” to represent Great Britain with his song “The Girl”. However, he lost in 8/8 finals. He made a deal with an independent record label and started his work under an album called “Nickel and Dime”. It planned to be made in acoustic blues style. But he did not finish his job, as he understood that he did not like what he is writing. In 2014, Jack Garratt issued his first EP, “Remnants”, a remix, “Remnix” and the single “The Love You're Given”. His track “Worry” was rotated at BBC Radio 1.

Touring and Awards

In 2015, Jack takes part in Apple Music Festival in London and participates in 2015 UK tour of “Mumford and Sons”, performing at 13 events at 9 arenas across the country. He was the winner of several musical awards, including BRIT Awards (2015). In 2016, Jack Garrat became the winner of the poll of 144 musical critics, DJs, bloggers and experts of Sound of …, an annually event carried out by the BBC corporation to identify the most perspective new talents in popular music. He released his debut studio album “Phase” on 19 February this year.
