The Hug and Pint is an independent music venue, vegan eatery and bar. It opened in 2015 but has hit the majority of must-visit points in Glasgow. Its unique atmosphere and menu are attractive for everyone, who likes spending a great time in a company of friends, listening to live music. The capacity of The Hug and Pint is only 130 seats, so, if you want to get there, feel free to book a table beforehand.
The Hug and Pint is located in Glasgow West End, not far from the city centre.
By train and tube: Charing Cross Station is 15 minutes walk away from The Hug and Pint. If you take a taxi, you’ll get to the venue in less than 5 minutes. The nearest tube stations are Kelvinbridge and St Georges Cross.
By bus: The nearest bus stops are Cromwell Street served by buses 6 and 10A.
By car: Drive along Argyle Street, take a turn to North Street/A804. After that, head to M8 and turn left onto Great Western Road. You will see The Hug and Pint on your left.
International: You can take a train at Glasgow International Airport and get to Charing Cross Rail Station. To get from there, you may either walk (see above) or take a taxi.
There is a 150 space car park at Kelvinbridge SPT Subway Station, which is in less that 10 minutes walk from The Hug and Pint. The car park has got disabled parking spaces.
Access for people with special needs
There is neither hearing assistance nor Braille printed materials. If you have mobility difficulties, please, mind that The Hug and Pint is in the basement. Unfortunately, there are no ramps of lifts. However, the staff is always happy to help disabled visitors get to the venue. You do not need to notify beforehand.
