The Braehead Arena is a multi-purpose venue, located in Renfrewshire. The building was built in 1999. Previously it was a home of the ice hockey club Scottish Eagles and is now the home to the ice hockey team Braehead Clan and Paisley Pirates on top of hosting major sports events. The Braehead Arena is located on King's Inch Road in Glasgow. Below are few options of how to get there.
By train and tube: if you are taking a train to get to the Braehead Arena, the nearest stations are Hillington East and Hillington West, located within 7-8 minutes drive from the venue. Taking a subway might not the most convenient options because the nearest station is Govan, located within 11 minutes drive from the venue.
By bus: the venue has its own bus station. More than 820 buses pass through it each day and provide services to many destinations across Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Glasgow. Two bus services provide links to Glasgow Airport, Erskine, Renfrew, Paisley and Glasgow: 26 and 77.
By car: the Arena is conveniently located just off the M8 motorway between Renfrew and Glasgow. Take the junction 26 and 25a.
International: if you are travelling to the venue from the Glasgow Airport, you will be happy to hear that it is located only short 8-minute drive away if you take motorway M8.
The Arena provides a 6,500 capacity on-site free parking, which includes designated parking spots for blue badge holders.
