Elena Jane “Ellie” Golding was born on December 30, 1986 in the small town of Lyonshall near Hereford, England. Elena was the second child from four. Her parents have dispersed when she was only 5. At 14 Ellie began to write music and learned to play the guitar, which was the first step to successful musical career.

Being on the second course, Ellie won one vocal contest. After this victory, she was recommended to take the academic vacation to have time to develop her musical career.
