Sneaky Pete's is a small, lively club that first came to life in the seventies, albeit under a different name. It has had several names and style changes since then but always was a small, sweaty place belting out various sounds depending on the mood at the time. Nowadays it is one of the places to go in Edinburgh even though the capacity is only 100. It is renowned mainly for live music but has a real club atmosphere.
The club is situated at 73, Cowgate in the centre of Edinburgh Old Town and is easily accessible by foot, by train, by car and by bus.
By train and tube: The nearest railway station is Waverley Street, and Sneaky Pete's is only a short ten-minute walk from there along South Bridge and then turn right into Cowgate.
By bus: bus lines 23, 27, 41, 42, and 67 will take you to Victoria St. The club will be just around the corner.
By car: It's easy to get to by car along South Bridge and right into Cowgate - just follow the A7 direction and turn left at South Bridge.
International: The centre of Edinburgh is easily reached from the airport which is about eight miles out of town. Take a bus, train, tram or taxi from there. The Airlink 100 Express or the N22 night bus will be in the centre in about 25 minutes. Taxis cost 13 or 14 pounds.
There may be spaces actually outside the club after 6-30pm or on the side streets, but be careful about restrictions. The nearest car park is Waverley Bridge, where you can find dedicated yellow lines for Blue Badge holders.
Accessibility for people with special needs
The club has facilities for the disabled visitors and goes out of their way to be of assistance. There is wheelchair access via a ramp; although, there are no wide door toilets. The club offers free entry for personal carers. Please call the venue and ask for Nick for further details.
