Héloïse Letissier, stage name Christine and the Queens, is a renowned singer and song-writer who is a famous star in her homeland France but maybe not so well-known elsewhere. However, it was all about to change after her 2014 debut album, Chaleur Humaine, that was reshaped for the international scene and she had her largest headline show in New York in January of this year. With her work being a mixture of music, video, performing art, and photography she is a raw mixture of talents. Since 2012, she has been signed by the record label, Because Music. Songs like Paradis perdus, Nuit 17 à 52, etc. gave her tremendous recognition.

Early Days
Héloïse was born in 1988 on the 1st June in Nantes. She remembers developing a passion for theatre at around the age of 12 and even then she was starting to show signs of the creativity and complexity that defines her work nowadays. She remembers horrifying her mother with dark stories about death! She went on to do theatre studies at the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon and moved to Paris to finish her studies in 2010. At the age of 22, however, she left for London after a bad break-up that left her deeply depressed. Always having struggled to define her sexuality, she found herself immersed in the drag queen culture of Soho, particularly in the nightclub Madam Jojos. It was here that the concept of Christine and the Queens was created, and it eventually became a reality.Now and the Future
Héloïse always seemed more at ease when she was playing a character and now, in Christine she had found the perfect alter-ego. Things went from strength to strength and soon she released her debut EP, Misericorde, followed in 2012 by another EP, Mac Abbey. At the Victoires de La Musique awards in 2015, she was awarded the Best Female Artist and the Best Video Clip of 2014. Her single 'Tilted' was released in the States in 2015 and in the UK in 2016.Christine and the Queens tour dates
