About Chase and Status
Formation and Early Days
Chase (Saul Milton) and Status (Will Kennard) got together through the help of a mutual friend back in 2003 while both were studying at university. The duo worked hard which certainly paid off when between 2007-2009 they had three number 1 singles on the UK Dance Chart – "Hurt You"/"Sell Me Your Soul"(2007), "Take Me Away"/"Judgement(Informer)"(2008), and "Pieces"(2008). In 2009, the pair took off on their debut UK tour, "Chase & Status Debut Live Tour" increasing their fan base even more.
Another success came for the duo in 2009 when they reached number 9 in the UK Singles Chart for the first time, with the track "End Credits". In 2010 saw the release of their second album, No More Idols, which included hits collaborating with Tiny Tempah, Delilah, and
Dizzee Rascal and debuted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Their latest album release was in 2013 with Brand New Machine and took a slightly different approach to the style they normally portrayed but was still a success none the less.
Biggest Achievements and Successes
The duo has been nominated for several awards throughout their music career, such as the 2010 Best Video with "End Credits" at the Q Awards; 2011 Best Live Act and Best Producer at the Drum & Bass Awards; and Best Album in 2009 with More Than Alot at the 2009 Drum, and Bass awards, all of which they won.
