About Cate Le Bon

Official Release

The Welsh-lingual EP “Edrych Yn Llygaid Ceffyl Benthyg” (which means “Never look the gift horse in the mouth”), issued by Peski Records in 2008 (before Cate had also published the single “No One Can Drag Me Down/Disappear” on the website), became her first official release.

Albums and other works

She also contributed vocals to Neon Neon’s song “I Lust U” from the album “Stainless Style”. Her debut album “Me Oh My” appeared in 2009. It was issued at Rhys' Irony Bored label. The album was warmly accepted by Uncut magazine. In 2012, there was an album “Cyrk” and then EP “Cyrk II” followed. Her second release, “Cyrk”, was paired with the spooky, folk-tinged timbre of Nico and the experimental, Nuggets-meets-Krautrock attack of “Os Mutantes” and “Faust”. Cate moved to Los Angeles where she in cooperation with Noah Georgeson and Josiah Steinbrick has written down the third LP “Mug Museum”. Released in 2013, the well-accepted “Mug Museum” featured a guest appearance from Perfume Genius on the record “I Think I Knew.” In 2015, she collaborates with the American singer and songwriter Tim Presley (Drinks) at “Hermits on Holiday”. An all-new studio album, “Crab Day”, appeared in early 2016.
