Carrie Underwood Tickets

Carrie Marie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 in a small town of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and grew up in the neighboring town of Checotah. The selection for American Idol took place in St. Louis where Underwood went to get to the dozen of finalists. When Carrie sang the song “Phones Are Ringing All Over Town”, one of the judges told that the girl would not only win, but would also eclipse all previous winners. She thought that she sang this song not really well, but after she was invited to the second round, doubts left her.

About Carrie Underwood

At the Show

Here she sang the song “Independence Day” before the producer Nigel Ligoye. On the following round, Underwood sang “I Can't Make You Love Me” for judges, who invited her to Hollywood. On a final day, when Carrie competed for the first place with Bo Bice, Underwood was declared a new “American Idol”. Using the material of such stars as Elvis Presley, Shania Tveyn, Rascal Flatts, and the favourite country performer Martina McBride, Underwood won a convincing victory on the show and managed to end the study in college at the same time.

After the Show

After her victory, Carrie went touring about the country together with other participants of the project. She signed the contract with Hershey's Chocolate confectionery and the well-known firm “Skechers”. In 2005, Carrie issued a lead single “Jesus, Take The Wheel” from a debut album “Some Hearts” (2005). The hit headed country music charts within 6 weeks. Some songs from the album (for example, “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” and “Before He Cheats”) were also very successful. In 2007, a new work of Underwood was provided to public – “Carnival Ride”. The work contains country of excellent quality with a little smaller, but noticeable bias in pop music. Besides, “Carnival Ride” contains several strong and deeply lyrical ballads about love. At Grammy-2008, Carrie Underwood was declared in 2 nominations and won one. Her other albums are “Play On” (2009), “Blown Away” (2012), “Storyteller” (2015).
