The Fratellis in Cardiff Interesting facts
A Scottish band The Fratellis was formed in 2005 in Glasgow. Today, their songs and albums systematically break into the charts with top-ten positions. According to one version, the name of the band was taken from The Fratellis bassist’s mother’s last name. The other version of the name history is that it is a slightly modified translation of an Italian word ‘brothers’. In 2007, The Fratellis won BRIT Awards as Best British Breakthrough Act. The Tramshed is Cardiff’s newest music and arts venue. The most interesting thing about this venue is the fact that it is located in the building which used to be the old Cardiff Tram Depot in west Cardiff. This entertainment and live music venue has opened its doors in October 2015 and boasts over a 1000 people seating capacity. Among the upcoming events there are the best music performers, live entertainment, various DJs and comedians.
