SWX is a modern live music venue and club in the centre of Bristol. The venue, which opened in 2015, hosts a variety of events from club nights and live music shows to conferences and corporate events. It can accommodate from 150 to 1800 people in its different areas. The club also boasts an impressive sound and lighting system including an interactive wall. SWX hosts Friday clubbing events called far fetched, been the location of the Dot to Dot festival and has welcomed Scottish rock band Big Country.
Being located in the centre of Bristol, SWX is easily reached by bus, train, tube or car.
By train and tube: If you prefer to take the train, the Bristol Temple Meads rail station is less than a mile walk away from SWX. From there, it is a ten-minute walk or a short bus ride away (see below).
By bus: The Nelson Street bus stop is just across the street from SWX and services the 1, 2, 8, 9, 24, 48, 49, 90, and 48A bus lines.
By car: SWX is located on Nelson Street which is easily accessible by car by crossing the Bristol Bridge, and then turning onto Broad and Quay streets.
International: From the Heathrow International Airport, you can take the Reading RailAir to the Reading Town Centre stop at which you can transfer to the Great Western Railway to the Bristol Temple Meads rail station.
Parking is available nearby but is not free. There are a few local car parks in the area including the NCP Car Park on Rupert Street with plenty of spots reserved for the Blue Badge holders. There may also be street parking available.
