Future participants of the English alternative team “Manic Street Preachers” were born in a small miner's town Blackwood in South Wales. The prototype of “street preachers” appeared in 1988 under the name “Betty Blue”. This formation was founded by the bassist Nicky Wire; it also included James Dean Bradfield (vocals, guitar), Sean Moore (drums), and Flicker (guitar). The latter soon left the group, and his place was taken by Richie Edwards. Before they write down their first single, the team changed the name to “Manic Street Preachers”. Read more
