Andy Biersack (aka Andy Black), born on 26 December 1990 is a musician, pianist and singer from the United States of America. He is also the one who established a famous American rock band Black Veil Brides. In fact, Andy is currently the only remaining original member. As a child, Andy grew up on music such as Mötley Crüe and Kiss and always dreamt of creating a band that would combine the music styles he loved. However, in 2014 he started his solo career as Andy Black.

When Andy was 14, he formed his first band “Biersack” with his friends. Even though they played only one show, this project eventually grew into Black Veil Brides band. In 2009 the band signed with the independent label StandBy Records and the recording began immediately. The first video for “Knives and Pens” was released in 2009 and gathered more than 200 million views so far. “We Stitch These Wounds” - their debut album - was released in 2010. Their second studio album “Set The World On Fire” was released in 2011 which was followed by “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones”, that the Black Veil Brides released in 2014.

The same year Andy Biersack told in one of the interviews that he has been working on his own music under the name “Andy Black”. This project has a completely different sound comparing to the band. The inspiration was the goth and synth music that Andy used to admire back in the 80s. The first song “They Don’t Need To Understand” under this new project was premiered in 2014. Finally, in 2016 Andy released his first solo album “The Shadow Side”.
Along his career, Biersack has been listed in Revolver Magazine’s 100 Greatest Living Rock Stars 2011 and won a 4th place in the list of 50 Greatest Rockstars in the World Today.
